Laser Dermatology
Meeting Modern Needs with Modern Treatments
Lasers are used in many different fields of dermatology for a whole host of reasons, whether they be cosmetic or medical. BHSkin Dermatology offers board-certified laser dermatologists in Los Angeles and provides several different dermatology laser treatments for various needs. Here are three of those laser dermatology treatments:
Laser Skin Resurfacing
More patients around the country are looking to laser skin resurfacing as a way to maintain a healthy, glowing, and youthful appearance. At BHSkin Dermatology, we provide both CO2 laser skin resurfacing and erbium laser skin resurfacing. To find out more about these procedures, book a consultation. We are happy to discuss the myriad of benefits laser skin resurfacing in Los Angeles can offer you.
Vbeam
The Vbeam Laser is an intense but gentle dye light that pulses out yellow light to the skin. The light’s wavelength is set to 595 nanometers which can be absorbed by the hemoglobin in red blood cells. This is how the laser destroys blood vessels like spider veins without damaging surrounding tissue or even changing pigmentation. The blood vessels are reabsorbed by the body and simply vanish. To increase comfort, the Vbeam sprays a cooling mist on the skin.
The treatment will feel like tiny “zaps” similar to a rubber band snap. Beyond needing to wear special protective eyewear, most patients can handle the treatment with no problems. The Vbeam works best for Rosacea, port wine stains, and brown spots. Sometimes, more than one treatment is recommended depending on the condition.
Co2 Laser
What if you could trade in the wrinkles, scars, and sun damage for youthful and healthy-looking skin? With laser skin resurfacing, you can do just that. The CO2 laser treatment is an ablative laser procedure. It holds multiple types of lasers used to meet patients’ individual skincare goals.
Lumenis M22 IPL
Intense Pulsed Light or IPL is a light therapy used to treat unwanted hair, wrinkles, and skin discoloration. It works by producing high-intensity light in a short period of time. Unlike a laser, IPL uses many different wavelengths of light that’s scattered and less focused. If you’re looking to improve the overall appearance of your skin, consider photo rejuvenation.
Radiofrequency Microneedling, featuring Lutronic Infini
Lutronic Infini Radiofrequency Microneedling is an exciting, cutting-edge technology that we are pleased to feature at BHSkin Dermatology. By using a combination of small needles and radiofrequency to introduce heat into the dermis, this procedure will be able to remodel and rejuvenate textured and scarred skin.
This type of microneedling is an excellent option for improving skin texture, reducing the signs of aging, and treating acne scars. The Lutronic Infini radiofrequency microneedling system achieves these goals with less downtime than previous methods

The Best Treatment for You
With so many different options, it can be difficult to figure out which one you need. The best choice really depends on what you’re seeking to improve. Photodamage is best with a laser-like the VBeam, but photodamage and wrinkles would likely find more success with the Matrix CO2. Talk to your dermatologist to figure out what’s best for you. If you’re in the market, BHSkin Dermatology has accredited laser dermatologists in the Los Angeles area.
