VBeam Laser Treatment

What Can VBeam Lasers Treat?

VBeam laser treatment delves into the skin to fight redness and inflammation, which are the most common symptoms of the skin condition rosacea. It’s a favored method of treatment for many patients because this laser beam procedure can also treat:

  • Warts
  • Redness on the face and body
  • Broken blood vessels
  • Superficial pigmentation discoloration
  • Spider Veins
  • Acne and scarring
  • Stretch marks

Why Patients Love VBeam Laser Treatments

VBeam laser treatments are a preferred method of treating rosacea and more in-depth conditions. Patients prefer this treatment due to its:

#1 Fast Application

There is no need to take a day off for this laser procedure. VBeam treatments usually last 20 minutes to 2 hours. The duration ultimately depends on the surface of the skin treated.

#2 Painless Procedure

Usually, there is little to no discomfort reported with this laser treatment. However, repeated treatments on sensitive areas may require a form of topical anesthesia. The VBeam has a built-in Integrated Dynamic Cooling Device which sprays a cold cryogen mist across the skin. This spraying puts an end to any form of discomfort, leaving a warm tingling sensation.

#3 Exciting Results

VBeam laser treatment leaves skin looking healthy and evenly-toned, while greatly reducing redness. Most of the time, the effects of VBeam laser treatment can be noticed after the first round.

#4 Mild Side Effects

The side effects of VBeam laser treatment are most notably bruising and redness. There may also be swelling of the skin that is similar to a sunburn. Fortunately, these side effects are very temporary. The treatment and its side effects have been regarded as gentle enough to complete on small children and infants.

How The VBeam Laser Works

With the VBeam procedure, light is pulsed at an ideal wavelength to penetrate visible blood cells. When the light pierces the skin, it is converted into heat energy, which is later absorbed by blood vessels. This energy will break down unusual blood vessels and cells, which will flush out of the body through natural processes.

What to Expect Before, During and After the Treatment

Ready to transform your complexion with the VBeam Laser? Here's what to expect before, during, and after the treatment.

Before Your VBeam Laser Treatment

Before treatment, it’s recommended that patients avoid sun exposure, tanning, and the use of products that cause photosensitivity. Your BHSkin dermatologist may have other suggestions at the time of consultation.

During Treatment

Before we begin, a BHSkin Dermatology medical professional will discuss your goals and areas of concern. After that, treatment areas are cleansed and protective eyewear is provided. We’ll cover all areas of the body that won’t be receiving treatment.

After the VBeam Laser

Most of our patients in LA report seeing results immediately following treatment. However, post-treatment maintenance is important. We recommend that you avoid excessive heat and use a broad-spectrum sunblock daily. Your dermatologist will make other suggestions as needed.
